More Kitchen

I’m sure you’re tired of hearing about our kitchen, trust me, I’m tired of not having a kitchen.  Because I have to suffer so do you.  We got most of our counter top yesterday.  One piece was cut too small so they’ll bring another one (hopefully this week) for the area next to the fridge.  You can also see my (our) gorgeous new fridge!  I know, it’s huge, I love it!  My mom calls it the Hummer of refrigerators.  Of course nothing, and I seriously mean nothing, has happened without a ton of drama, dissatisfaction and a few tears.  I won’t get into that, you all know I now hate my contractor, I’m trying to focus on the end results when everything is gorgeous, there are no more strangers in my house, and as long as you don’t look too hard the slight imperfections are totally acceptable.  Sigh.

The kitchen looks awesome. :-) And I absolutely LOVE your fridge. It’s my dream fridge… I’m glad you decided to go with the darker counter tops. :-) Can’t wait to see pictures when its complete!

YAY!!! I’m so glad you went with the dark countertops. I told you it would look fab ;) Great new fridge too. You are going to be so happy with your new kitchen once its all finished! Everyone hates their contractor. At least that’s what I’ve heard, we didn’t have one thank god. But that didn’t keep me from having confrontations with the few vendors we did use.

The kitchen looks awesome! Love the contrast of the darker counterops with the lighter wood cabinets. I’m sure you can’t wait for all to be over, but it will, shortly.

Natalie – I would be happy to tell you all about my contractor but I want to give him a chance to redeem himself first. My emotions are a little out of skew these days and I want to be sure I’m being fair before giving my review.
